- Balgal – Mission Beach
- 191 kms
- 26°c
We pulled out of camp and headed out fairly
early and were once again greeted by numerous roadworks (The Big Ben of our
trip!) We stopped off in Tully at
The Big Gumboot which had a pretty good view from the top.
Mission Beach was on our list of places we
really wanted to see and we were not disappointed, the sand is like powder,
beautiful palm & coconut trees lining the beach, spectacular views out to
Dunk Island. We found a great
Council Caravan Park so decided to stay a couple of nights. The family camped
next to us are really friendly, Ella & her new friend Coby went
beachcombing and Ella found a piece of a sand dollar! Occy was happy to play
with their dog JoJo! We chatted to Tammy & Roger until the mozzies got the
better of us and we retired to our vans.
Mission Beach Council Caravan Park, $21 a
night, power, water, hot showers, beachfront
