- The Lions Den
- 26°c
These early mornings seem to be becoming a
regular occurrence! But we did have a fair drive today back up North to The
Lions Den. We bid farewell to our new friends after taking note of a few must
stop places. It took us just under four hours and the roads were a little bit
windy through the mountains but thankfully that didn’t last long.
On arriving at The Lions Den we found Rach and Max playing pool and they showed us to our camp spot, which was really open and we were able to drive through it creating quite a good size living area between the two vans. After setting up the kids were off down the river, after strict instructions not to go near the waters edge, even though the pub said it’s safe to swim and no-one’s seen a croc in at least 50 years, we weren’t taking any chances!
It was a nice cruisey day at
camp just hanging out with our new friends, swapping stories, telling tales and
laughing our tails off. It’s so nice to have travelling buddies again.
