We had a lovely sleep under the stars at Bramwell Station and Ella & Oscar couldn't wait to get out of the swags and see the cows again.
The Old Telegraph Track was a must do, seeing as it was written all over our team singlets!
As we were checking out the mudpit, from out of nowhere came Aquaman, he was in full wetsuit with a snorkel like tube on his back. After mapping out his run and clearing some logs he made waded back to the other side of the crossing and set off!
Whilst checking out the nearby shrubbery, Steve spotted a mudflap that he thought Troy could use and hopefully stop him pinching ours! But it wasn't quite the right size unfortunately.
"Mum, I don't feel well", said Oscar, I passed him the Vombag (thanks K2!) and not a second to soon. Poor baby, so I spent the next part of the drive in the back with him trying to make him feel better, as Ella had her fingers shoved as tightly into her ears as possible for fear of the sympathy spew! When we pulled up to Musgrave Station, we were trying to decide whether to make camp or keep driving? Oscar said he felt heaps better but didn't want to go back in the car, so the decision was made to stop for the night. No sooner had we paid for our sites and Ella emerged from the toilets looking very grey, saying she felt very weak, as we walked to where Steve was setting up camp, she kept saying help, help almost delirious poor babe. Rach kindly donated one of their mattresses to the sick bay and all the kids kept a close vigil on her. We have no idea what brought it on, but thankfully after some fresh oranges, ginger beer and fried chips she started to perk up. Oscar was feeling almost back to normal after a lemonade icy pole and they both felt 100% better after a good nights sleep.
