Day 27 - Invasion of the ants

  • Exmouth
  • 32°c
Ants go marching one by one, aargh aargh!!!  more like a thousand and one, little buggers were in everything and so like yesterday the cupboards were emptied, wiped out and left empty so we could catch them in the act! Fingers crossed they're gone for good!

Steve took himself off on a fishing charter, hoping to catch a heap of fish, just like the man on iFish does when he's in Exmouth! After a full day on the high seas, he's still rolling back and forth and feeling a little green under the gills. Not quite as victorious or abundant as he had hoped but still happy to have returned with a catch of Mackerel fillets for dinner.

Back at camp we spent the day evicting ants, doing laundry, a bit of learning and of course swimming in the pool.  Ella & Oscar thought they'd test out their mask and snorkel and Ella was delighted when she spotted a $1 coin at the bottom of the pool! Score! So sweet that they decided to share it.

Back to the outdoor cinema after dinner for a viewing of Planet 51.  Good movie, and ties in nicely with the galaxy theme learning.
