Day 308 - Hello Kakadu!

  • Katherine – Kakadu
  • 341kms
  • 33°c
Up early this morning, Steve had to replace the door handle as it was hanging on by a mere thread, thankfully it lasted till today as his mate Podgy had picked up a new one in Darwin for us!

On the way to Kakadu we stopped off at Edith Falls  for a quick dip.

Kakadu National Park! Our home for the next few days and what an amazing place. We set up camp at Kakadu Lodge Caravan Park and I highly recommend it, great layout, large sites, awesome pool and poolside bistro. It it a great central spot to see all the different areas of Kakadu.

Steve felt the need for an outdoor TV to watch the cricket, rugby, footy! The kiddos all tried it out and gave it a big thumbs up and I must admit it's much better to be outside if they're going to watch it.

Tomorrow Steves big birthday so I had busied myself making cakes and setting up decorations with some help from the girls and Oscar.

Kakadu Lodge Caravan Park, $30 (stay 4 nights, pay 3 - $120), awesome pool, amenities, bistro
