Day 66 - Margaret River

  • Prevelly – Margaret River
  • 15kms
  • 18°c
After a night of very bizarre dreams we were awoken by Neale at 10am to let us know they were heading down the beach. After breakfast Ella & Oscar got straight to their learning and did it with great attitudes, they have really adjusted to homeschool and we don’t often have to nag them on it. We hadn’t unhooked the night before so it didn’t take long to pack up.

We headed down to where the rivermouth meets the beach and found the others basking in the sun.

It was a beautiful morning and after hanging out for a bit we headed to Margaret River to Big Valley Campsite to set up camp. It’s a working sheep farm set on the greenest rolling hills, we were checked in by a really friendly gal who was born on the farm.

After unhitching the van we drove back to Margaret River township for a look around and to grab a few groceries, then it was back to the farm for a nice chill out afternoon doing not a lot!

Big Valley Campsite, $31 a night, power, water, amenities
