The gas bottle finally ran out a couple of days ago, on Day 71! For the last couple of weeks we kept saying it's gotta be empty now, surely! So a trip to Bunnings was necessary, which had a silver lining as we passed a Vinnies which Ella loudly alerted us to! and it was there that she found "The Pirate Movie" which she had watched with Ni'ni once before. For some reason I always think it's called "Pirates of Penzance"! Ella watched it back to back and just about knows it word for word. Oscar found an original black & white "Three Stooges" with Shemp in it, which he found to be laugh out loud funny. I got some things ready for next weeks learning and just hung out around camp.
I used to love that movie, forgot all about it, I thought it was pirates of the penzance too, glad Ella liked it.xx

DeleteTell Ella l am glad she remembered this AWESOME movie!!!! It is also called The Pirates of Penzance, when they do stage productions etc they use that title rather than the Pirate Movie!) So want to go to Polly Woodside but Gav is being mean & keeps saying no - once a month they have pirate day arrgghhh me' hearties! I am sure they filmed part of the movie there. Or maybe l am making sh*t up again??!!! :)

ReplyDeleteSOOOO don't think l am making it up, l know they used Werribee Mansion for the "house" scenes & the wedding dance extravaganza (LOVE that scene!!) give me a happy ending, every time!!) ELLA - we are watching it when you come home at Christmas!!!!
