Day 246 – Surprise!

 Today was the day of the great “Surprise”. The plans had been executed some time ago and boy was it hard to keep it a secret! Mama, Bapa & Nini, Steve and the boys had booked a holiday to Hamilton Island and we decided we would join them. After locking up the van and putting her into the park storage we caught the ferry over to the island. 

 

We were able to check into the hotel and had about an hour before their flight would land, we were all super excited and couldn’t wait to spring ourselves on them. 

We snuck up behind them in the lobby as they were waiting to check in and their faces were priceless! At first Mama thought we had just popped over for the day and there were a few tears when we told them we were here for the week, happy tears I’m sure!

After settling in it was straight to the pool, of course!

It was lovely to have a big family dinner although we had a few sleepy kiddos at the table.
