Day 253 – Sightseeing

  • Horseshoe Bay
  • 26°c
Ella & Oscar whipped up some eggs for their breakfast this morning!

A trip into the township of Bowen for a few supplies, a haircut and a bit of sightseeing.
The view from Flagstaff Hill was quite breathtaking,  beautiful sea, islands and beaches.

Next stop was the old Police Station that was used in the filming of “Australia” and the vacant lot across the road that we were told was a whole other town when filming was in full flight.

Back for lunch and a school session before we headed off for some rock climbing.

This is fast becoming a favourite family activity, Ella & Oscar love to take the lead and it’s so nice to watch them leaning down a hand to make sure the other can get up to the next rock.

This time we came prepared with a trash bag, which was filled in no time, a lot of rubbish seems to wash up amongst the rocks. The count on oddities was 4 thongs, half a platform shoe, 1 toothbrush and some rope!
