This morning we packed up and said our
goodbyes to The Lions Den, it was only going to be a short drive today to
Lakelands, we are going to leave the vans here whilst we Jeep it up North!
On arriving at Lakelands we were met by the
friendly caretaker Dave, and after a bare minimum set up, we started on packing
for the Cape! The kiddos found a really good playground across the road and
spent hours their playing, coming back only for drinks, and to advise us that
Oscars thong had gotten on the roof. There was some lego building going on and an
afternoon movie, which allowed us to get serious about the packing and I even managed to whip up a batch of chocolate scones for a snack.
We had the pleasure of these little guys hopping through camp. Rach had a little lie down as she wasn't feeling 100%. Dave the caretaker came around with pumpkins from his veggie patch and so we made a huge batch of pumpkin soup for both the families.
